Talking about Wills at Maggie’s Centre, Lanarkshire
On Thursday 10th November our Private Client Department is moving – for one day only – to Maggie’s Centre, Monklands Hospital, Airdrie. We’re giving talks on Wills and Powers of Attorney, followed by an informal “question and answer” type discussion on these topics.
Our hosts are Maggie’s Centre, Lanarkshire – so by coming along you will have the added bonus of experiencing a visit to this amazing place. See below for details of how to book.
Maggie’s Lanarkshire featured in last Sunday night’s BBC 2 documentary, “Building Hope: the Maggie’s Centres”. If you didn’t see this, it’s well worth a look on the BBC iPlayer.
Maggie’s Lanarkshire is our chosen charity for 2017 and we are about to embark on an exciting initiative with them – more on which later. In the meantime, do watch the documentary to get a flavour of this wonderful, life enhancing phenomenon – and do please join us on 10th November to witness Maggie’s in action.
Writing your Will is something that many of us put off dealing with, but it is also a subject that people dealing with a cancer diagnosis can find themselves thinking about.
As part of our cancer talk series, we have invited local solicitors Gebbie and Wilson from Strathaven to talk about things you might want to consider when writing your Will and the benefits of having a Power of Attorney.
Come along on Thursday 10 November 12.30pm – 1.30pm to hear a short presentation and a chance to ask any questions.
Please contact the Centre to book your place by emailing lanarkshire@maggiescentres.org or calling 01236 771199.
They can also book individual appointments at the Centre for anyone wanting to discuss an individual case for a suggested donation to Maggie’s. Please ask the team for more details.
